Versatile, rugged, filled with gorgeous texture and inspired by the southwest. It all began with these.
Native in heat treated copper and bronze glass.
I wore these almost the whole time I was in North Carolina, picking up compliments along the way (which is always nice, I know you agree with me ;-)) .
While I was in North Carolina, I met an artist who works in copper (I mentioned her here). She gave me some awesome insiders on processes she uses to get certain patinas on copper. I knew about some, but one of the tips really speeds things up quite nicely. That was when the idea for these was born:
Native in copper with a gorgeous patina of aquamarine and bright red glass. The contrast is downright heady!
After that, I decided to carry it through and made these next three girls:
Native in sterling silver given a patina, then brushed to a satin finish and turquoise
Native in copper given an aged appearance that will develop even more over time, bronze glass and African turquoise
Native in brass brushed to a satiny finish with navy and silver glass beads to dress her up. She’s the swankiest of them all~
For the giveaway, the winner will receive their choice of one pair of The Natives! Brass, copper or sterling silver. It’s up to you!
All you have to do is leave a comment on this blogpost telling me your favorite place to visit. I’ve mentioned on here several times that I’m a Smoky Mountains girl myself, and I’d love to read about some of your favorite places to go to reenergize!
I’ll announce the winner next Friday evening!
The Natives make their first appearance in the shop this evening or tomorrow morning~ I hope you love them as much as I do!
***EDIT*** The winner for the giveaway will be chosen by a random number generator.
Thanks so much to all of you participating! I'm excited about my first giveaway~xoxo,
